The RiverWalk is an outdoor 15-mile linear park that hugs the banks of the Chattahoochee River.  It has become a recreational mecca for cyclists, runners, and those that just want to enjoy the natural beauty of the river.  

With endless possibilities including camping, a model airplane flying field, an 18-hole Disc Golf course, the Veteran’s Museum, biking, kayaking, canoeing, a hummingbird and butterfly garden and three playgrounds you will want to stay for several days.  

At 9,049 acres, Georgia’s largest state park is a hiker’s and backpacker’s haven.  More than 40 miles of trails, including the popular 23 mile Pine Mountain Trail, wind through hardwood and pines, over creeks and past small waterfalls. 

This quiet park offers the perfect getaway for those who love water sports. It is adjacent to a natural deep-water marina with an accessible fishing pier, boat slips and boat ramp. Birders are likely to see herons, egrets and even bald eagles. 

The Center offers a view of the ecoregion  and provides access to samples of the area’s rich communities of plants and animals.
